Privacy policy
PickTrove is run by Khizar Hayat, a sole trader based in Islamabad, Pakistan, writing for buyers in the United Kingdom. This site collects as little as it can get away with.
What is stored on your device
One thing: your chosen currency, saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device and I cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What I do not do
- No accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no contact form.
- No advertising networks and no advertising cookies.
- No selling or sharing of personal data. There is none to sell.
When you click a link to a retailer
Most links to AliExpress carry a tracking code so the retailer knows the visit came from PickTrove and can pay commission. A few carry none, and those are labelled on the page as earning nothing. Once you land on their site you are subject to their privacy policy and cookies, not mine. I receive anonymous, aggregated reports showing that an order happened, never your name, address, or payment details.
Server logs
The site is served through Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, page requested) for security and to keep the site running. That is normal hosting infrastructure, not analytics I have set up.
Your rights
This site is written for buyers in the United Kingdom, so UK GDPR applies to it even though it is run from Pakistan. You can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Since I hold no personal data about visitors, there is usually nothing to hand over, but ask anyway if you want to check.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13 and knowingly collects nothing from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
